Cricket Scandal Unveiled: Mickey Arthur Hits Back at Hafeez! Shocking Revelations Behind Pakistan’s Downfall Exposed!

Mickey Arthur, the former Director of Cricket for Pakistan, responded strongly to Mohammad Hafeez’s accusations, refuting claims that he and Babar Azam had halted player fitness tests six months prior to the team’s disappointing outcomes in Australia and New Zealand. Hafeez, serving as the interim coach, asserted that the decision contributed to players’ lack of fitness during the tour.

“When we toured Australia, I inquired about the players’ fitness. Hafeez informed me that Babar and I had decided to forego fitness tests, allowing players to play without restrictions,” stated Hafeez on Cricket Show The Pavilion. He highlighted that the players in Australia were unfit, failing to meet required fitness standards, leading to poor performance.

In response, Arthur, now back at Derbyshire after parting ways with the Pakistan Cricket Board, criticized Hafeez, labeling him a “disaster” and emphasizing that true leadership involves taking responsibility and confronting challenges head-on. Arthur conveyed this sentiment on his Twitter account, denouncing the tendency to blame, complain, and deflect.

Australia dominated Pakistan with a 3-0 victory in the Test series, and New Zealand prevailed with a 4-1 margin in the T20Is. Hafeez assumed the role of Director of Cricket after the ICC World Cup 2023, a tournament where Pakistan failed to reach the semifinals, prompting Babar’s resignation as captain across formats.

Hafeez’s dual role as Director of Cricket and coach was curtailed due to Pakistan’s subpar performance and a change in PCB leadership. Threatening to expose players upon leaving the organization, the legendary all-rounder’s tenure was cut short.
